Have you have received an OSHA or MSHA Citation?
Do you know of a Company that received a Citation?
Immediate action is required.
Once a company is cited for a violation, it has only 15 days to contest it.
Failure to contest a Citation not only means that the penalty must be paid, it may also restrict a company’s ability to get new contracts, as well as result in an increase in its workers compensation and liability insurance rates.
Contact HBTC immediately. HBTC has over 200 years of combined safety and health experience. A prompt and knowledgeable response may result in the Citation being withdrawn entirely without having to file a Contest, BUT an Informal Conference with the OSHA Area Director MUST be scheduled AND held before the end of the 15 day contest period.
If a Contest must be filed, knowledgeable and thorough preparation and follow through can result in substantially reduced penalties, if not the complete vacating of the Citation.
Proactive preparation is key. Contact HBTC for a confidential review of your existing safety programs, jobsites, facilities, and training so that you will be prepared when OSHA shows up on your jobsite.
