Howard has been with HBTC since December 2006. He has been in Heavy Construction approximately 20 years; started out in the field as a laborer and became a form carpenter eventually worked as a foreman. He has worked in safety and Health for the last 12 years and was Senior Regional Safety manager for one of the largest form work sub contractors in the Southeastern United States. He also successfully defended his previous employer in the largest form work leading edge OSHA cases in the country.
Howard has managed Safety and Health through one hundred twenty five construction projects many of which were among the largest in the Southeast and he has experience in OSHA informal conferences and OSHA court cases.
He has completed the Ga. Tech OSHA Outreach Safety Professional Series Certificate Program in Construction Safety and Health, Industrial Safety and Health and the Certificate Program in Safety and Health Management including training from the Department of Homeland Security and the Georgia Emergency Management Agency in Weapons of Mass Destruction Awareness Training.
